The Blood Is Dripping

Let me, remove the dagger from my heart- friend, The blood is dripping and I am full of sadness; I must learn to never trust you ever again, Seems that loyalty is just a thing of madness. The blood is dripping and I am weeping. You say one thing but you do another, Oh, the pain in my heart is shattering; I am full of tears, I thought we were forever, Your words just senseless dribble scattering. The blood is dripping and I am weeping. My disappointment is so deeply staggering, And so, I must add more bricks to my high wall; The Lord up above, makes me forever shining, And should you try to climb my wall, you will fall. The blood is dripping and I am weeping. Let me, remove the dagger from my heart- friend, But, I must thank you for your cruel deception; The blood is dripping and I am full of sadness. See, sorrow always gives my writing direction. _________________________________ February 18, 2016 Poetry/Rhyme/The Blood Is Dripping Copyright Protected, ID 16-759-153-0 All Rights Reserved. "sorrow always gives my writing direction"...so very true, Constance; in pain and sorrow you find sustenance for beautiful poetry, such as this one. Betrayal and deceit are truly like daggers in the heart! ~ Regards // paul

Paul, thanks for visiting my poem, yes, when we are betrayed by a friend we feel such sorrow and pain, at least I do, but I have learned to turn that around and use that emotion to write, this is the gift God gave me, thanks for beautiful ~

Betrayal and deceit is great inspiration to write and writing should give us a reflective outlet just as yours has done here. Very well written, BW. With lots of demonstrative emotion and feeling. Great write. Good luck and Peace :)
