The Blackout

UNSUPPORTED CODE

You're one of my favorite moments,
Always takes by me by surprise,
With a flick of the switch, whatever which,
You take all the light from my eyes.

Pure silence always follows,
Whenever our paths' do cross,
For only a moment, maybe another,
If only to ensure we're not lost.

Suddenly we become human,
Interacting through chit and chatter,
Out come the board games, maybe a book,
As if the world no longer matters.

With a flash you always depart,
Interrupting our humanity,
We return to our own, probably the phone,
Creeping back into insanity.
