The Black Bird

Sitting on
My front porch
There was a black bird
eating blackberries and toast

Your talent has showed from an early age. All the poems I have posted have been written since October 2012. Here I am at 52 finally developing the skills to express myself through writing. I guess I am a slow starter.

Aww thank you! Better than never! And who knows? Maybe back then you DID have the talent, it just took you now to find it. :D Everyone on here is so extremely talented. :)

I like to see you posting more, Caleah! A nice image in this one... it has the feel of haiku for me. An objective un-opinionated standpoint of the writer... there is beauty in simple observations of life.

Haha I was just having a field day when I found my old poetry! I'm like, "Post, post" These were basically written when I was 10-11 years old. So nice to know I was a bit talented back then. ;)Thanks so much it really is quite beautiful.
