The Bitter Taste of Resentment

Resentment is a negative emotion
that casts aspersion upon others
when perhaps the fault really lies
in the depths of our own being.

Deceiving ourselves is a flaw,
one of our human imperfections,
while expecting too much of others.
Resentment leaves such a bitter taste.

Rancor inflames both heart and soul,
so, keep your ire under control.

Here , Here Smacks of a total lack of self awareness Some people are never could never possibly be wrong even when they are proven to quite clearly be but will also never admit defeat or back down All of which is in their own heads of course And that's good enough for them

All you say true. and no amount of persuasion will convince them of anything other than what they believe or try to get others to believe is the truth. Must be that alternate reality we've heard of. lol They should be smacked!

Dark and dreary, like a cloudy morning... erase the darkness, know the gentleness of peace and promise, electrifying joy. Love this, Jenna. God bless you always. Love, Gina

Connection to jealousy, I often think roots resentment, I try to be happy for others and even if I'm envious, I try to use it as motivation to work harder! Great thoughts Jenna! Happy Wednesday xxoo

Resentment can indeed leave a bitter aftertaste, leaving some to stew in their own hate, love is supposed to conquer all, but only if it’s capable of being perceived and felt, nice message and poem, cheers David

Love God; Love one another. Keep the rudder on course. The entirety of the Milton experience of late seems to have a profound effect on Miss JL. ~;o\

Thanks, AP. I miss him terribly, but my jailing has had no influence in life. Just a wave that I had to swim over, with lots of help from my friends, such as you.
