The Big Hole By the Gate

There is a big hole
Outback near the gate
It’s dark and deep
And very straight

Deeper than a well
And darker than night
With gurgling sounds
Enough to fright

A word to the wise
For what it is worth
I heard it goes
Right through the earth

Don’t stand too close
To see what’s inner
Cause if you fall down
You’re gonna miss dinner.
