The Best Way To Fight Back

I think this poem expresses what we all know in our hearts to be true.

When they come at you with pitch forks and tar Get ready to fight back. Be fierce, growl with your gut. Smack them upside their heads. When they gang up on you, shove them into the ground. Stomp on them if you have to. Scare them to death. When they come to you with a mean face Open your heart and listen. They are hurting from something else. Unless you have truly done something. When they call you names do not cry. Do not give them any satisfaction at all. Love them. This is the best way to fight back actually. Whether you know it or not, Caren, your wisdom is also the bible's, hard as it may be to follow it. We New Englanders have many names for cow manure. Cow burgers is one of them. Thanks for the read. / M

I knew about the Bible. It was lambasted into me in my youth. Cow burgers- yum yum!

Oh how right you are. If one does not take a stand for oneself, who will? Life is no slide down a park bench. Sometimes you have to fight for your own life and integrity. No paying Mrs Nice Guy here. OMG! I have people shoot at me, beat me. Or try to ruin my daughter's life. You bet I fight. A Fave, just me xx

as i libra, i like balance and dislike the thought of fighting, easily brought to tears myself...but this is great advice, showing others our weakness allows them to draw off of it....wonderful write Caren :) hugs
