The Best Thing
When I saw you the other day,
You saw me too.
You smiled
Like I was the best thing in your world
And started walking toward me.
And when you reached me
You embraced me
Then took my hand
And lifted me up
Into your arms.
And in that instant
I felt complete,
I felt whole.
Like this was all I wanted,
To have you never let me go
To never leave your side,
And to be with you forever.
Because you are the best thing
In my world.
