Notes About The Poem

The Best That I Can Be

Oft times, I truly desire with a passion
to write like my fellow poets.
In doing that, I cannot see, the beauty 
in my own, and fail to recognize it.

To create poetical magic, I have to dig 
deep into my own reality.
For with that, and that alone, comes truth,
clear as crystalline tea.

I never try to impress wiith words, I shan’t  
use in my daily life.
The words I pen, hopefully, will bring joy
sans clouds of strife.

A comedian on paper, is for witty, poet 
compatriots to be.
All I can write about is wishing humanity
awakens, as I dream by the sea!

I know when a poem is really the poet…….and when it is AI. It’s so obvious.. How is that? It may look as impressive as all get out! But the human soul is lacking! Some sites have built in AI you can use?That is insane. I find zero interest in being a phony poet. Hugs, Pangie

The sea is an intoxicating enchantress! I used to be a runner in San Francisco at dawn. To the Pacific at sunrise casting its light on its the Golden Gate Bridge is awesome. I lived near the Marina. The sea is visible from many points , as there are high hills. Was an amazing city in retrospect. Today is high crime, homeless sleep on its streets , a drug infested city and dangerous. It still haunts my memory!- )) Pangie… it was heaven in the 60’s.

It is authentic and honest and l just adore the end line 'as l dream by the sea'... you were definitely a fish in a past life for sure haha!! ....a rainbow fish full of colour and life! I am on the same page as you. I love the end line! I will turn riainbow today or perhaps get a costume? Not necessary as most of my clothes are aquamarine.
