The Best Night of My Life

Holding each other close
as the music fills the room,
we dance.
All other souls ignorned but ours.
A little laughter here and there,
A sigh of enjoyment
and a whisper of happiness.
We sing the notes and
sway with the melody.
Your arms wrapped around me tight,
and my arms wrapped around you.
Footsteps following the beat,
and heartbeats racing with the pace.
The song slowly fades away.
Reality comes back,
and the dance becomes a memory.

This one was about my ex colby. We went to the dance together last year, which was my 8th grade year...
