The Best Day of the Year for Mothers

All year the day’s anticipated
By mothers eagerly awaited
There’s no chance to sleep late
Yet the day they highly rate
It’s a time of the greatest joy
For those with a girl or boy
There will be hours of relief
From childcare’s daily grief
Since once they are out the door
For a time, they’re seen no more
The first day of school’s the best
Though she’ll enjoy all of rest
Mothers, taxes gladly pay
To support that glorious day
