The Belly of the Beast

The Belly Of The Beast

Proned to inner fear we shed a tear from a heavy blow
Shadows torn in mere desolation willingly appear
For I shed a single tear to help numb the inner pain
While all the waiting world is totally insane
Standing behind pillars in time will turn to salt
We smash mouths exploding against the wall
The decorum looks modest at first then the push
A certain fixed ember from the closed shiver
The belly of the beast sounds the alarm to come home
With painted glass of an illusion across it's form
Some may even curse the very day they were born
Torn helpless in the emergency ward with long lines
Working today can give anyone a heart attack
We claim the moments filled with snap shot memories
Of certain faces that will leave viable traces
The belly of the beast explodes in mere celebration
It's gravitational pull may bring some down
With the sudden applause of thunder feeling restless & alone
Painted faces as if they are socially wandering wizards among us
Scattered fragments on the midnight moon all a glow
The surface of the moon is now stuck in the middle of decay
The ancients prayed to be set free from such a scene yet
We dine alone never intended for any luxury exposed
Out of tragic circumstances we all must live to take part of the dance
