The Bejewelled Night

Smooth black velvety curtains Embroidered with diamond sequins In the dark river waters Smiling, silvery moon Trying to find its reflection Playing peek a boo Rendering a silvery sheen To all earthly things That glistening moon Dewy grass with scattered pearls Everywhere chilly wind whirls Nature playing an orchestra Strange music all around Each element dancing Whirling to each sound Peeping through those curtains A new morn jealously awaits The end of a bejewelled night
