The Beginning of a New Life

This is the first day Of the beginning of my life, This is the start Of a long, hard strife. Getting over you will Surely be hard to do. But I can't go on like this, I have to live my life too. I thought I knew you Well enough to know, The longer I stayed, The more our love would grow. But now I must leave you, It's gonna be tough. But if I stay longer, I'm gonna get hurt. I want you to know I'll always be here, To lend a shoulder or To dry your tears. I want you to be happy And I hope you will find Someone who is special, Warm, loving, and kind.
