The Beauty of Poetry

               Poetry is romance 
                 broadcast to the world

               Wisdom disseminated
                  in a modicum of pearls
      
	       Ecstasy snatched from despair
                  melancholia ‘midst festive air 

               Angles that startle and surprise
                  a podium from which to surmise

	       Intimations of eternity 
                 ~ whatever man wills it to be
