The Beautiful Sky

As the sun ascends over the Hudson River
With the view of Manhattan in my eyes
A sense of peace and quiet, is delivered
It is as if someone truly heard my cries

With the view of Manhattan in my eyes
A calming serenity sensed from this shore
It is as if someone truly heard my cries
At this time, I couldn’t ask for any more

A calming serenity sensed from this shore
I watch the boats traverse the river, grand
It is as if someone truly heard my cries
I have the world, now, within my hands

I watch the boats traverse the river, grand
As I take in the beauty, the beautiful sky
I have the world, now, within my hands
As I stop for this moment, just to sigh

The beauty there now, I so needed
As I stop for this moment, just to sigh
Daily on, this must be repeated
As I take in the beauty, the beautiful sky
