The Beast Always Has Indigestion

soon we will be free
soon we will be walking without worry
soon we will be having only the happiest of dreams
soon we will be waking up stress free and smiling
until then, let's cut off this alarm before we both kill it twice
the bills will never pay themselves
now give me a kiss and let us pray for our personal sanities
you go make your french vanilla coffee
i will go grab a few cinnamon rolls and some vanilla oatmilk
no news this morning, cut on an old episode of dennis the menace
a season one episode is on
i look back at the bedroom
you look back at the bedroom
we are tempted, but we laugh it off, shake our heads, and resume our individual preparations
