The Beach
As I lay here in the warm sand the ocean speaks to me, in a way no one else can
She tells of the happiness and joy from the sand castle built by the little boy and how the stranger destroyed it without a second thought, but the boy had made it with the only toy his parents had ever bought,
She tells me of the fishermen's tale
And how a minnow becomes a whale, what the others don't know is he is poor, he was fishing because he couldn't go to the store
She tells of the sadness in the eyes of the mother
Who lost her son, and never had another and how this miracle child had saved her life, but in the end he took his own with a knife
She tells me these things just to remind,
No matter what the circumstance always be kind
