The bare truth

I am not perfect although I wish it was me
I make mistakes
I am human I bleed
Yet I feel some do not realize my color does not define me
As a woman that does not matter
What I will not do is succumb to useless chatter
There is so much at stake
I will keep that between Jesus and me
The bare truth is how much are you willing to sacrifice
In this country
To really be free!
