The Band

Do you feel the light of day
As the warmth of the sun is at play
Does it steel you for the bad news
That makes your heart cry the blues

Do you hear them at play
With Elvis singing you want to stay
And John and George on guitar
With Charlie on the drums a star

They are there as a sweet memory
A heavenly gig for all to see
And when it’s my time to enter there
The band will be warmed to some cool rock fare.
