The Balloons of Colossus
The Balloons Of Colossus
Balloons abound in the surrounding heights
Colossus Grande stands in marbled grandeur
In splendor as majestic figures stretch on columns
Statues firm with fingers pointing up
Balloons are targeted for pleasure
Children’s smiles follow them along horizons gold
Eyes pop, mouths make the letter O
Green and red ride between the yellows next to pink
The dome around the Earth is round and framed
In a bubble made of solid indigo
Remains the same again, against the color blue
And to that end
Hides the floating orbs against suns morning glow
Balloons have nowhere else to go but up
Winds stir them about as they grow smaller
There next stop is beyond horizons as they rise
Above Colossus out
The atmosphere sees to that
Where they never stop
