The Ballad of the Lover Boy

He never found love, You found he. He didn’t know how to find you again… But he found why you left. You reached out from the void, Showed him compassion, But he broke your hand, Now it’s just black again. He stood alone in the fog, Could still smell your embrace, The blood has washed off, But your heart is still bleeding. You never needed he to be happy, I need you… Your colours dimmed But never went dull The lights in your eyes faded in tone But never were extinguished From the out Is to see in A new angle in which to see The dark musings he played on you A monster A poison A fool Now a lost scripture A dirty reminder To where a man would stand If thee were to wage war With loves mere hands It’s too dark here To read the markings on his skin So instead I will wither Never to be known, again.
