The Background

The background;
No matter how artificiality conquers,
The background, shall remain.

City lights snatch the soothing darkness of night away,
However,
The background, shall remain.

Cars, smoke, pollution, whatnot;
Bury the sky, unreachable,
One thing, however, remains untouched,
The background, shall remain.

Now matter how much civilization tries to get rid of it,
God's handiwork; inked, invulnerable,
The background, shall remain.

As Earth shall ascend its grave,
The epitaph shall remain,
The background, shall remain.
