The Baby, Redeemer

At the beginning of the world You were there as Word and created the world; You came to this troubled world through the maiden who conceived You by the Holy Spirit, and now, You are laid in a manger in a little village in Judea. The stars in the sky though manifest Father’s glory the darkness dominates the earth, and in this darkness, the baby sleeps under swaying candle light, nonetheless, from the baby’s tightly held palms, blood oozes out to smart the eyes of sinners behind the smile of the sleeping baby who is able to see or to sense the dark shadow covered path that the baby would walk through as he grows to adulthood? To sooth the unbearable pain from the flogging whip He calls to the Father to repay it with love who perceives or understands the fall to the ground hidden behind the dark shadow? The bright star shines in the east though the maiden immaculate as a lily stands in the field alone.
