The Awe and the Wonder
My children have bestowed a gravity that imparts
Beautiful lightness on my heart
Their eyes are reflective of something that I have forgotten
In adulthood
Pure, scintillating love that exists without criticism
I envy their easiness with this world
I need to look beyond the philosophies I've intertwined myself with
As these are constructed by those who know nothing about me
So that the deconstruction can be simple
And I can look outward with the awe and the wonder
That are firm in the soul of a child
