The Awakening

Out of the darkness,
Memories came,
Slowly,
	slowly

Flowing in streams,
They flooded her mind,
Drowning,
		drowning,

Hush the knowing child,
Who believes in things unseen,
Crying,
	crying

Drying her eyes,
She spread her wings,
Flying,
	flying

Back in time,
Suddenly she understood,
Knowing,
		knowing

She had been here before,
She released the ancient river dam,
Softly,
	surely

The Awakening began
