The Avoided Day

This is not just another day
The clouds above all seem gray
None of us know what to say
My mind needs to stay focused and not go a stray
I remember the days we used to play
It is the Life we need to portray
Or is this final come what may
I want to be selfish and make her stay
I guess this is the time we all need to pray
You tell yourself this is all going to be okay
There are some things I wish we could delay
Reality is here and it is planned this way
Because this is the price we all must pay.
