Notes About The Poem

The Autumn of Life

Like leaves that fall in autumn time
our bodies wither as we age.
We wilt as up the hill we climb
like leaves that fall in autumn time.
It seems like once we pass our prime,
our lives enter the shedding stage.
Like leaves that fall in autumn time,
our bodies wither as we age.
