The Autumn Gala

 Autumn's gala is out there on display 
Rocking and rolling the senses away
In the magical splendour of the fall
That captivates the hearts of one and all.

Elegant is the autumn time of year
When leaves adjust the colours of their gear
From leaves of green to gold, yellow and red
Before they fall onto their sleepy bed. 

Join in the dancing o'er whispering breeze
That sway regal branches of stately trees
Lifting leaves to float down to their demise 
In the gala of autumn's paradise.

Autumn reminds us that life doesn’t last
So we should enjoy each moment that’s cast
Life is a precious God given treasure
That leads to His Holy house for ever.

Beautifully descriptive poem Beryl. I loved the picture you paint in words - Seeing Tom's comments made me think of Japan which we visited a few times but none so awesome as in Autumn in the cherry blossom season. I trust Alan will be better enough to travel a bit with you - Hugs Maria
