The Author
God is re-writing the text of my life,
Since receiving Christ and salvation,
He has made me a brand new creation,
By the process of regeneration.
He’s blotted out all my transgressions,
And the pages have been rearranged,
For headings and chapters are altered,
As my life has dramatically changed.
Oh, how different my book will read,
Than the one it was going to be;
I’m heading in a different direction,
Since by grace I am saved and set free.
The book of my life still goes on,
I am blessed from heaven above,
Though the need to edit continues,
God holds the pen by His love.
Looking to Jesus the Author of faith,
He will complete the work begun,
Writing my name in His book of life,
May He say in the end, “Well done.”
