The Artist:
The artist sits before a blank canvas, with nothing special in mind.
Then he creates his masterpiece,so beautiful and sublime.
I wonder if he feels like God with all that he creates.
I wonder if God is guiding him,From beyond those golden gates.
Do thoughts come to this artist that he transfers to his brush.
To be able to create such beauty must give him such a rush.
I know if I were an artist with such a wonderful style.
I'd find that selling my creations would be much like selling my child.
The time he spent creating it is like watching your children grow.
To allow someone else to take it away must be very hard I know.
Does the artist ever feel like this? Or does he even care?
I suppose he allows his children to leave and find themselves a home.
The same way our Creator lets us make it on our own.
It never ceases to amaze me the talent some artist have.
To take some paint and a brush in hand and create a work of art.
If it doesn't come from the mind, it must come from the heart.
I believe it's a God given talent,
That I don't seem to have.
Or is it just hard work,and study, that guides the artists hand.
What ever it is I'm happy for the touch of the artists hand.
With all the colours of a rainbow they paint the world they see.
And bring a lot of pleasure to this whole world and me.
