The Art of Dissolving Dreams

Searching my mind trying to remember,

The people and places of those I knew,

fuzzy and foggy images swirl and intertwine,

coming together as one mish mash.

Names I remember from long time past,

now like myself grown old and unrecogniseable,

The days of youth and innocence spoiled,

degraded into another dream.

days of light and carefree living,

gone forever never to return,

 lost loves and friendships both,

sailed from the harbour in mystical ships,

voyages to who knows where,

all we do is stand and stare.
