The Army Cook
He desired to become an army man,
Who could operate a stern-gun;
Those recruited him said:
As an army-cook, you could go-ahead;
Lion in a kitchen room?
broom in hands of a brie-groom?
He did not give up, yet,
He got his mind, set;
He cooked for them,
Filled with smiles, like a gem;
They appreciated the way he peeled onions,
Tomatoes seemed to adjust with his opinions;
Capsicum might have kept her mouth shut,
When he, of-course with no malice, got her cut;
Fish, meat and eggs, though reluctantly,
Obeyed his commands, gently;
he could find happiness on faces,
That fought, many battles, for future races...!
