The Approval Seeker

The woman fretted too much over this and then that. Was her hair the correct color or was she perhaps a tad fat? Did her neighbors really like her or was it all make-believe? She whimpered softly and wiped a rivulet of tears with her sleeve. She then remembered she was a truly a creation of the most High God. And it was only His Divine approval, that truly was worth a nod. It's better for her to be kind and giving to others. And stop walking about looking for approval from her sisters and brothers.           January 19, 2020

All one needs to satisfy is themselves. If one is comfortable with their own being appearance/living then that is all that really matters. Ta hell with what others may think or say... Your words speak volumes, Panagiota. Good write my dear friend. Hugs C.M.

Hello Charles! It's a blessing to be comfortable in your own skin. I realize some people cannot stand that. And do all in their power to destroy that. Their joy is in humiliating another's centerdeness. I call that mental illness.rarely have I seen it here. But it pops up like dead seaweed every now and then.-)) and is obvious to all... Move on.-)) Panagiota xx

Hello Panagiota … we keep being advised through advertising that we need to be perfect. Your verse dispels that in the final stanza thankfully - Lindsay

You, Lindsay, are on my mind daily! Hope you are doing well. Advertisers constantly telling us we are not perfect. We need this or that. Unfortunately, we buy what they peddle. In the field of technology, same principle. The latest iPhone. Outrageous. It won't make us better than anyone. Be safe, Panagiota xx
