The Apple of His Eye

In my heart he need not dwell
I live inside his daunting shell
The vision of his love to be
I stand and doth he cannot see
His words may only feed my soul
To share it doth not leave me whole
Yet in my heart the sheppard sleeps
For if he wakes my conscience weeps
