The Apple and the Tree

The Apple And the Tree Firm round fruit with central core, Red, green, yellow ... fresh. Savoury in taste, Though sometimes bitter. The perfect fruit, Polished exterior, quite alluring. Grown with care, Water, sunlight, love. Baskets line the orchard, Ripe for picking. The apple of my eye, Bitter sweet goodbyes. Branches now barren, Seasons rapidly change. Memories of the fall, Apple pie and ice cream.
