The Angry Wasp

He was an angry wasp, zooming around the kindergarten classroom. Stinging other children with hits, smacks, pops and bites. They were terrified of him within the first hour or so. The teacher was losing her cool, her anger was showing on her face now. Even the kindergarteners who had not been stung did not care for him. They did not like watching him hurt others, and they saw the teacher’s face. She hated him, so they would hate him too. It was what he wanted. He liked the validation. It proved that his parents were right. He was unlovable.

Oh so sad. We had one of these in our classroom too. A prek kid should not be ostracized. Neither the kid who was the teacher’s pet, cooing, “oh I know you would never...” Love them all...the best you know how!

It is so sad but also happens more frequently than I thought possible.

And there I was, left holding the bag: Thought this might be about one of those WASP Presidents whose statues had been toppled... Perhaps Woodrow Wilson, you know. Oh, was he ever 'WASPy!' ~ Stung hard

I had not even consider those kinds of WASPS. I am from a small town. We did not use any of those terms. We were all the same there except one guy.

Thank you Ilene. I see and I weep for them, but of course they would be angry if they saw my tears so I play with them instead, giving them a little slice of fun.
