Notes About The Poem

Anger in our heart not only hurts others, family friends, but it hurts
the person harboring it and if they are a Christian, it hurts their God
as well.

The Anger of Man

The Anger of Man

Are you angry and discouraged
and think that God has forgotten what He said He would do,
wanting to reach out and hurt others
as much as they might have possibly have hurt you?

Anger and depression when harbored
will destroy the soul of man,
it does not pay my angry brother
to take things back into your own hands.

His ways are far above our ways
His timing we cannot understand,
but on Him lean and trust in His Word
put yourselves into His mighty strong hand.

Because our God got even with the devil
for what he did to the soul of man,
and victoriously triumphed over him
so that in His presence we may stand.
