Esmuda Mujagic founder of the NGO Heart of Peace

The Angel Heart of Peace In the hills and glens of the Bosnian homelands Roamed the Serbian chetniks, with swords of the devil In the name of nationalism Raping and killing, burning and pillaging Their aggressions they called it defending Carkic the rapist of all of humanity Drank himself to a stupor To hide his soul from his very own gods As he burned the villages, children and all How can such evil stand so tall? From the ruble of hate, and Serbian addictions There rises an angel from the concentration camps Malice none, for her heart is filled with compassion She listens to the victims, her kindness is her fashion Esmuda Mujagic, content to build bridges to rainbows true She is an angel of inspirations Asking only for warmth for the victims of torture No reprise is sought, only admissions of truth So through forgiveness, life can mend and flourish Instead arrested and harassed The soldiers of Serbia, still carrying on

Soldiers all over the world are drunk and they do horrible things.Not just Serbians. I am from Serbia. And Serbian men are not cruel,drunk beasts. Not the men I know.

Serbians committed genocide, they were not drunk, to this day many Serbians revere war criminals, this is disgusting, to use any other place or people as an excuse makes no sense, Germany has taken responsibility for their actions, and Turkey has not, as an example. And no man should be responsible for another's actions, I don't mean that, but as a society one has to take responsibility, sadly by your post, we see Serbia has not learned from history at all.

Some more such Esmudas hold the key....petty groupism has been undermining genuine nationalism in all countries...glad that you have brought out an interestingly positive feature of the issue in a well written poem....

Wow... Why is the world so disturbing... I don't know, but I pray that The Savior will be here before the next eyelash falls to stop suffering... Your poem is intense and it is educating. I can't say that I enjoyed it because of the subject matter after all, how can anyone enjoy human tragedies... But, thank you for your courage to write and present this matter to the uninformed, such as me...

I thank you, I was sure no one would read much less comment, and I know its a difficult topic, what inspired me to write on this topic was the woman Esmuda, when you see people like this rise above, well they are hero's in my eyes.

Thank Tim, yes I was amazed, at her desire to make good out of evil, to help people and show love not hate, I hope she realizes how many people she has inspired with her kindness and compassion.
