The Ancient Tree
The ancient tree seemed to be thousands of years old
with gnarled branches that were covered with moss
the twisting limbs rising up to the sky and also stretching out, out
and some dipping into the ground then rising out again
it was a battle scarred tree from many a rain or snow storm
and I, lay beneath this magnificent ancient tree for hours, hours
