true beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder as the old saying goes, and everyone has their stubble and warts so to speak. Another great piece Brian!

Holbein is one of my favorite portrait painters. He was so far ahead of his time (even when Francis Bacon aped him, it seemed revolutionary). In this you have captured the essense well without the need to spends lines on description. There is a strong emotive feel to these poems of yours Brian and this is an overpowering example of that.
