The American Dream Ii
the American dream.
a nightmare only accessible to all the non-billionaires.
a distorted vision;
we are forced to taste the tangy fruits of life
yet we are mouth-less.
a whole culture suffering from bulimia; starved.
deep wounds unique to America bringing great devastation
to Americans
the dreamers are being out-numbered
to fate and fatality
not only will we never eat
but we we never eat well.
praying on swollen knees for peace, for answers, for change,
for the acknowledgement of the forefathers, for glimpses of heaven
our ancestors weep;
knowing that these dangers are more domestic than foreign -
nevertheless
we are not protected
our ancestors weep;
our vulnerabilities - the media broadcasts them for free
for free..
what are all these non-billionaires willing to do - to see, to touch, to hear, to taste, to know, to cry, to weep, to faint, to be, to be free
