The All of It All

I wanna be the dog,
I don't bark I just bite,
I am the sin of delight,
I am the loser that fights.

I wanna be the bird,
flying over the dead,
dropping crap like raindrops
pouring down on your head.

I wanna be the bee,
the bee that stings,
I am the smallest of parts,
I am the whole of all things.

I wanna be the bird,
I wanna be the bird,
I wanna be the bird,
I wanna be the bird.

I wanna be the dirt,
the filth of the earth,
the leaves of grass,
let me know what I'm worth.

I wanna be the stench,
of the rotting flesh,
I am annointed, I'm chosen,
I shall bless and possess.

I wanna be the rule,
you would die to abide,
I am the the dark, the impulse,
the places you hide.

I wanna be the present,
that lives in the past,
I am living to learn,
I am living to fast.

 I wanna be.

Interesting write. Seems like you like to antagonize and confront. It must all begin with being able to confront oneself, doesn't it? Well written. Thanks for sharing and thank you for your comments on my poem too. Caroline.
