The Adult Refrain

When young, an undiscussed disagreement can damage No ending gives up feelings, discomfort, loss, hurt We all have such moments of memory, experiences hidden away What does young mean? There is no age limit to this dilemma Such times follow us through life, sometimes to the end And yet to find another way to resolve these, to bring ending When found, when we resolve, the negatives expunged Is such a positive moment and has much value in our soul, in our hearts? We did this yesterday, and talked, shared understanding, another facet to our connection It feels good to have this, a facility to resolve And so, we then move past this moment, the elephants leave the room Giving up the space we need to grow and develop our lives There is enough strife in this world to go around a few times It is a good feeling not to add to it Jan 2022
