The Abyss

All my life in whole Is like a flight over a great black hole; I try not to fall into this abyss, But even the light cannot do this. The closer the abyss is, the more I Lose myself and die, And I don’t know how long I can Seek salvation again and again. Hopes and aspirations are fading away; I lost any faith and can’t see any way; The abyss is drawing me more and more To disappear in the deep and not exist anymore. I tried to find meaning at least somewhere — My dreams were broken everywhere, And now my strength has failed me To fight with the abyss that is drawing me. I will fly to you, spreading my arms; Maybe will I find peace in your arms? The abyss yawned with a malicious grin — No, I won’t give up; I won’t be in! March 21, 2021
