The Absent Father

Just a note for the absent Father,
For the ones who broke every abandoned child's heart
Here's that note to let you know, Father,
While you and your children have been apart
Your sons and daughters have been thinking of you
They have been wondering about how your absence,
Rejection and behaviour have caused them mental and physical harm
However the years they haven't crossed your mind
These children have learnt to move on without you
But there's not one day they haven't thought about you
Time has grown to be their biggest healer
And today we abandon children
Would like to forgive you,
Thank you for making us wise and strong
The memories we once shared
The love and time you once gave to us
We would like now to return back to you
We are no longer the abandoned forgotten children
That you once chose to leave behind
Your love and memories will remain and you
Will always have a place in our hearts.

This is such a heartfelt piece, dear Patricia. I feel every void and I know the pain lingers somewhere. May you grow to forgive yourself. I hope for the sam. Cheers.

sorry for the late reply many thanks when an absent Father is not present the child is broken yet I have found in my life journey such hurt and pain as well as the void and emptiness was filled and replaced by YAH's presence who heals
