The 2008 World Series

Here in October of 2008, all Phillies fans are feeling great. The boys in pinstripes just won it all. They are the champions of baseball. The team’s play did certainly enthrall. On Broad Street, everyone stands tall. For just the second time in history, the Phils won the ultimate victory. Four games out of five, they beat Tampa Bay. The Rays are the team that had to pay. Even though it is too crowded around here, it is the right place and time to celebrate and cheer, I only have one more line to rhyme. We will remember this moment for a long time.
