That's the Gift

"That's The Gift...."

If you are 
reading 
this poem, 
my friend, 
like myself, 
you received 
this....
"HIS" gift!
Once again 
our eyes 
did open 
to the 
"Light"-
we sat up 
and then 
vertically 
did lift!

Knowing that 
this day 
was not 
guaranteed,
it did arrive 
though, 
nonetheless.
To view 
"another" 
morning's sunrise,
you know what.....
we've all been 
truly blessed!

"What POEM....
shall we 
write today?"
What new 
"words" 
will come 
to mind?
We won't know 
'til we take 
our pens 
in our hands....
then each 
"PEN"
our own
"one of a kind!"

There is 
"JOY" 
in knowing
I'm not 
the only one
who will do 
this thing.... 
"TODAY!"
Each.... 
and every 
"POET"
that is 
reading 
this one
will have 
an 
"abundant" 
amount
of their own 
to say!

Yesterday is, 
of course 
behind us all.
Everything 
written 
is but now 
the memory!
With this fresh, 
brand new,
creative start 
for today,
looking ahead 
is all 
we can 
truly see!

So.... 
"One And All",
let's take 
our pens 
in hand
and may 
your 
"Heart's Words"
see this 
light of day!
For to be able 
to express 
"our words" 
in these 
"POEMS"....
"That's The Gift"
of something 
"special" 
to say!
