That's Stupid

That's stupid
the words
tumble from
my mouth

silently
I kick myself
I don't mean
you're stupid

I mean you're making
bad choicies
It's not a good Idea
to spend

every second week
drinking
you're making
bad decissions

to study and learn
you need
to make
a commitment

every week
you have potential
but to capitalise
on that potential

you need commitment
give up the alcohol
and study every week
success requires

confidence
belief in yourself
effort, study
and commitment

To say you're stupid
is wrong
success requires
belief in yourself

I hear the words
stumble from your mouth
I'm to stupid to learn
and I wonder

who started
that thought
was it me or did
yours parents say

you're stupid
perhaps we need to think
before we speak
to help our loved ones grow
