That's So Trivial

Someone is consumed with anger and has gone mad
Venting fitful words of ire ...how childish; how sad
Like a flock of loud crows
The noisy blah blah goes
It's so trite and trivial. Give it up. Egad!

Life is filled with locked doors wherever I may roam
But I will not cry 'wee wee wee' all the way home
I'm not that little pig
And I don't give a fig
So froth doesn't drip from my mouth like rabid foam

If you've a bone to pick with others in the soup
Work it out instead of posting blog poems of poop
This is a poetry site
There's no need to fight
Don't be sneaky like a fox in a chicken coop

Hello Jenna ... it's hard to understand why this poor behaviour exists. I enjoyed your limericks, hoping you might prick a conscience or two - thanks Jenna - Lindsay

A fine tranche of Limericks Jenna, the little piggy one brings home the childishness of blogging rubbish and then blocking responses, Give them an inch they will take a mile, but you’ve certainly let them know you will stand your ground, cheers David

Thank you for your thoughts, David. Seems you and I have standing our ground in common. Poems are meant to be posted as a submission, NOT on a blog to complain about other poets, and I wrote this in defense of a friend.

Sounds like the soup may be dangerous.

It's not dangerous, but don't take some people who think they are poets seriously. Thanks for stopping by and reading this one, Denise.

Nice limericks, Jenna, some people are like that, can't change them..

I wouldn't waste my time trying to change closed-minded people, but I felt the need to chastise the chastiser. Thanks for reading my poetry, Jo.

Excellent ink Jenna. I've blocked and ignored several on the site and couldn't help laugh out loud when said poet has comments turned off on their blog - the irony wasn't lost on me lol:-) hugs jan xx

Nor on me, Jan. Some crows caw louder than others for attention.

Why would any sane person read a poem by a poet one does not like? Wasn't school assignments enough for them?

Some people certainly act insane over trivialities, don’t they? Thanks for the visit, Rico.

I have only two answers: ignore and block them. I always admire your writings. Hugs.

Nah, Victor. I've ignored and blocked but find it more fun to play tit for tat with them. It enlivens the atmosphere and sharpens the mind. Thank you for liking my writes in what ever form or reasoning they appear. Hugs.

Seems to happen from time to time. I say just concentrate on poetry.

Hey Kim. I've been busier than usual and out of town for the last week, so I've not been able to write decent poetry for posting, but I have been made aware of a certain situation in which a blogger likes to bully, yet plays the part of a victim. I find writing limericks to be a perfect reply.

Well written Jenna, I agree its a poetry site not a battle ground and some need to be aware of that, love the lims. Tom

Hi Tom. There are a few who SELDOM contribute poems to the site in the proper manner, but seem hell bent to battle with a pen, so I say..."Bring it!" Thanks for liking the lims, Tom. They are indeed addictive to create.
