That's How I Feel

That's How I Feel

That's how I feel a longing for you like a sacred and eternal disease,
and I will make my soul write poetry with blood and ink combined,
and if it were as my heart whispers to me in the nights,
to reduce a little the madness that burns me like a living torch.

That's how I feel wanting to touch your cheek like a rose petal soft,
with your lip to sweeten the wonder that the empty world makes me feel,
but my throat is so dry from the thirst for you consuming,
and I want with the tear from you to get drunk as from a magical wine.

That's how I feel wanting to steal your sigh and take it back with me,
to take it with me in reverse direction toward dawns and returns,
to tear from your heart all the thorn that held you prisoner trapped,
that stopped you from life and from walking toward your hidden light.

That's how I feel wanting to embrace your gaze like a wounded bird,
and toward God to direct it on roads of emerald and stars bright,
and to love to give the reading written in forgotten languages old,
to find its secret and wise purpose among the words lost forever.

That's how I feel wanting to kiss your pain when it settles in you,
when you no longer know what you want or what to say to the world around,
to caress your hair and bring you the pleasure of colors from a sunset,
painting on the sky of your heart horizons of gold and warm purple.

That's how I feel wanting to fall asleep on your shoulder like a child tired of the world,
to ask for nothing except to breathe the air that you breathe too,
with you to stop the number of longings that multiply like the stars,
and to wrap you in the scent of rose and nocturnal jasmine sweet.

That's how I feel wanting to whisper to you in the evening when night falls heavy,
when sleep comes hard and thought hurts like an old wound opened,
that in you I found a springtime that blooms even in ice frozen,
that blooms even when there's no sun and even when the world is winter.

That's how I feel wanting to direct your steps to places where there's no pain,
to keep them close to mine so you never lose them on the way,
and to watch how two stars shine dancing one for the other bright,
when time flows so hungrily devouring moments like bread consumed.

That's how I feel wanting to place under your eyelids the light from my love,
the light from my love endured and closed in my chest like in an altar,
so your dream may be gentle without whispers that frighten you at night,
and your heart unbeaten by fear like a peaceful island in the sea.

That's how I feel wanting to gather your fall when life slips through your fingers,
when life slips through your fingers easily like sand or like water flowing,
to hold in my hand all the love that the universe carries within,
and to transform it into smile and into flight toward skies unknown and pure.

That's how I feel wanting to ignite your being with the flame from my entire soul,
with the flame from my soul full of dreams and unfinished hopes bright,
to heal without words the suffering that sits in your bones like ice,
with a kiss warmer than wine and sweeter than wild honey golden.

That's how I feel wanting to open a gate for you to a world where everything is complete,
to a world where everything is complete and where there's no lack or pain,
where love no longer quarrels with fear and with doubt consuming,
and doesn't fear it will be poison but is the elixir of eternal life.

That's how I feel and I know I have the will to give you color and comfort,
to give you color verse and comfort for you are my secret music pure,
to know that in me is the place and faith where you'll always be loved,
where always you will be loved like no one else will ever be.

That's how I feel wanting to remain with you and keep you in all that's pure,
to keep you in all that is pure and holy and untouched by the world,
so we may be neither today nor tomorrow but a single impassioned unison,
but a single impassioned unison that burns in two bodies and one soul.

That's how I feel wanting to hold you close so you never leave far away again,
so you don't leave don't hide anymore in the shadow of your fears dark,
and if we were to be shore and waters that seek each other eternally,
I would want with love for you to answer that you want us together always.

That's how I feel wanting to breathe your being to have you place on my chest your evening rest,
to place on my chest your evening rest like a precious treasure kept,
to close the world to forget its repentance and all its heavy sins,
and to love under the song of violin that carries us to other dimensions.

That's how I feel wanting to dress you in sunlight to be my light in all that's endless,
to be my light in all that's endless and that gets lost in the universe,
to love you with fear and ardor like my only religion sacred,
to receive you home with a welcome and with gates opened wide.

That's how I feel with no other way for you to be home in every sunrise,
to be home in every sunrise and in every sunset that comes hard,
to carry your destiny dream thought and color like a royal mantle,
and to remain with me in infinity beyond time and space and death.

That's how I feel wanting to give love a name so you know what home means,
to know what home means only for two without world around without noise,
and our steps on sand to leave traces that will never be erased ever,
as long as love is the lighthouse between us guiding through storms and night.

That's how I feel wanting to promise you a life not from stories but a real one,
not from stories but one from A to Z with all the letters and words,
with rain and sun and with smile on face and with tears when needed,
and to float in the universe like in an eternal and perfect ballet like a dream.

But this doesn't depend only on me but on what you feel trembling through your nerve,
but on what you feel trembling through your nerve and in your veins like a hidden river,
and only if you want to be well and for us to be well together always,
put an answer on your lips enough for me to notice and read it like a prayer.

That's how I feel wanting to stop time only to tie it to us with thread of infinity,
to tie it to us with thread of infinity that never breaks under the burden,
to know that in this world with all its torment there was nothing more pure and sacred,
there was nothing more pure than to be loved the way I love you now.
